Reading Enrichment

Reading a favorite book to children provides more than entertainment in the moment; it also gives children a sense of intimacy and well-being and promotes bonding. Feelings of love and attention are proven to encourage growth and development.  

 

Books are a part of our everyday curriculum at The Children’s Center at Mulberry for all age groups. In addition to a print and language-rich environment, our teachers work with children to nurture memory, comprehension, and imagination all while cultivating a love for reading.  In partnership with Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, we also offer our 3K students a lending library so they can take home a book to read with their parents or siblings, which further kindles a love of reading for lifelong learning and entertainment.
